Q: What other HONDA CIVIC model is the best substitute for HONDA CIVIC SI?
Its hard to find a good stock 99-00 Honda Civic SI nowadays. I’m just wondering what other Honda Civic model is the best substitute for Honda Civic SI?? i like 99-00 Honda Civic SI and Honda EK…
And what is the diff between the EK3 EK4 and EK9?
Thanks! Appriciated!
How about the DX?
A: ummm. i own a 2000 si and a 2000 civic hatchback..you cant substitute an s.i. the 99-2000 civic ex is as close as you can get. the 96-98 civics have a different front end. the civic s.i comes with a stock b16a2 dohc vtec(dual over head cam vtec) wich has alot more power than an ex, also comes with better suspension, all wheel disk brakes, and different interior. an ex is the closest you will get to an s.i. if you later are gonna swap an engine into it you might as well get a hatchback… but if you just want the looks, get an ex. and american hondas are not ek’s, those are acutually japanesse models.ek3 is 95-98 in japan. ek4 is 99-2000 civic in japan and ek9 is 99-2000 but the type r models… hope that answered your questions… oh and dont go single cam turbo. your engine will blow trust me.
Q: How much should I expect to pay for a 2007 Honda Civic SI?
I am shopping for a new car and I am seriously considering a Honda Civic SI Sedan. I love the fact that it is a powerful compact car but I only have one problem is the price really that low? I was wondering what others have paid for this car and how available it actually is, I know the msrp is $21,260 but is this the price I should expect to pay?
A: I would do my research by starting on http://www.autotrader.com and do a search for 2007 Honda Civic Si and see how much dealers are listing them in your area. You may even find the best price at a dealer that is near your area.
Q: What is a good price to pay for an 08 Honda Civic SI?
I am looking for a new 08 Honda Civic Si, and I see dealerships price these at around $21-22k. I was wondering how much do you think I can knock off from the dealers price?
A: The Si is a limited production car.
The sedan you’ll have a better chance of getting maybe $500. The coupe I would guess none.
Q: what is the cheapest price for honda civic si sedan 2009?
I love the civic si sedan. I went to the honda dealer yesterday, they gave me the price which is $21,919(includes fees)
I was wondering if anyone bought the civic si sedan 2009 please tell me how much you paid for it.
A: i don’t have a honda civic but i do pay attention to Honda’s. we have about 4. You can get a base civic for about $17,000. If you are wanting an EX with a sunroof and all that stuff you are looking at about $20,000. Don’t let them fool you. If you go to the right place they can cut you really good deals. For example i have a 2009 Honda Accord EX with everything but leather and i only paid $22,000 for it. The price sticker was almost $26,000 but there is definately wiggle room for any car you want to buy. I would suggest taking someone with you that can talk junk to the salesperson to let them know your aren’t an idiot that will pay full price for a car.

Q: which is the best ECU Performance chip available for a 2007 honda civic si?
So i have had the 2007 honda civic si sedan for four months now, i i think its time to continue booting the performance. i already have a cold air and an exhaust system, people are telling me to aim for chips, so which is the best?
A: Well dont chip it you want a standalone ECU such as AEM or Hondata. If you have teh money go with Moots, but just be prepared no base map is shipped and there is no easy tune. Best bang for the buck is AEM, Or get ahold of Xenocrom tuning. The Si computers are pretty much tuned already and if all you have is an Exhauste and a CAI, dont waste your money. Now if you are running under boost or ITB’s, Bisimoto cams, adj cam gears, etc… Then start thinking about a ECU swap. I ran a P28 Stock ECU on my Civic running Custom ITB’s a custom ground cams from Web-Cam Skkunk2 cam gears Bisimoto header, Stage 3 head from Exospeed, and only gained 20HP when I switched from factory ECU to a Hondata, and it took over 4 hours on a Dyno.

Q: Rough Idle and flashing check engine light on a 2000 Honda Civic Si, what could be the problem?
I have a 2000 honda civic si and this morning driving to work it was fine, on my way back on the highway from work the car when idle will shake roughly and my exhaust does not sound the same almost sounds like a motorcycle exhaust. The check engine light is also flashing which makes me believe it could be a misfire in a cylinder, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
A: Flashing Check Engine light means only one thing, your car had experienced a Misfire in one of the Cylinders. You need to bring the vehicle to a shop and get your codes read and it will tell you which cylinder misfired and they can diagnose the problem for you. This could be to bad plug wires, bad plug if the car hasnt had a tune up in a long while.
Even if the problem is intermittent the code will be stored in the history so it will show when the shop runs the codes.
Q: What is the difference between the Honda Civic Si?
The 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010
Honda Civic Si’s
What has changed between those years preferably which one would be best to get and why ?
Thanks
A: 2006 – is not speed limited to 133 MPH like the 07- to present.
2007 – sedan introduced into the line. Same as previous years.
2008 – has USB port instead of just an aux jack, and red stitched leather shift boot. Also the year the Mugen SI was made. same as previous years.
2009 – slight redesign has a stock mesh grill under previous existing one and fog lights. Colors are different except white and red. different stock rims. HFP kits different.
2010 – same as ‘09
2011 – same as ‘09
I personally like the 06–08. But the 09 and ons are starting to grow on my I like the look of the front facia just not the mesh grill. I also like the 06-08 rims better than the newer rims.
Q: Does the 2009 honda civic SI’s usb audio interface work for other mp3s such as creative zen m?
I’m going to get a 2009 honda civic si and i want to know if my creative zen m will work with the new usb audio interface? Will it work the same way as an ipod? because if not I’m going to get a ipod then.
A: Yes, it will work as long as you have a USB male plug. The new Civic has the female USB plug in the armrest.
Q: What is the best Intake for Honda Civic SI 2009?
I would like to know what is the best performing Intake for my Honda Civic SI 2009, I havent ever done anything with modifying my car and heard this part was a good one for beginners, tell me what u think, thanks.
A: Brand names this brand names that… Essentially they all do the same thing, its an aluminum pipe with a cone filter on the end. And in those Dyno results its also proven that your stock intake box with a drop-in filter can have the same results. Especially being that its DESIGNED for optimal air intake.
Brand-wise, yes AEM, K&N, Iceman and HKS are good names. But, you can build your own or get a used one, or even an ebay knock-off for a fraction of the cost and have the same results.
