Q: How do I tune a Nissan Skyline R34 on Need For Speed: Prostreet to a good drag racing car?
I want to know how should I tune my Nissan Skyline to win a quarter mile race in race in 5 seconds. no later than 8 seconds on the game Need For Speed: Prostreet
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: Can I import my Nissan Skyline car in the Philippines to US?
1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T
(Converted already, Steering Wheel on Left Side)
I’m wondering if it’s possible to import my car to USA, NY. If so, what’s the best way to do so. Even if I have to go to California to pick up the car, I’ll do it. What’s the process?
Thank you very much!
BTW, I like these older model Skylines
A: Sorry brother but it is 100% impossable. The US is fine with RHD cars anyways its the DOT crash testing that will screw you over.

Q: I want to install aftermarket Garrett turbochargers on a Nissan Skyline Gtr-r34. Is ECU reprogramming needed?
I want to install aftermarket turbochargers on a nissan skyline r-34. Will I need to reprogram the cars ECU. Is it necessary? If so why and what happens if I dont? If I dont program the ECU will it result in higher fuel consumption? Help. Thanks.
A: you bought a car that has all that power, but have no knowledge=)
well when install them, you will need to tow the car to a shop that has a dyno.., They will fine tune your car to its optimal performance, it will cost anywhere from 100+ an hr..
the shop i used to goto cost me 200 an hr, around 4 runs.
Yes if you dont program the ECU, you will burn a lot more fuel, and proabably fry something in the processes.
get it tuned,
Q: Import nissan skyline from oregon to washington question?
Hey I live in seattle, washington and was looking at buying a nissan skyline in oregon that is legally registered. One of my friends told me that i would still have to do more legal stuff to get legal in washington, is this true?
From what i understand is the hard part is just getting them into the US from canada or japan.
A: How do I put this…Yes, you should be able to import it from Oregon to Washington with no problems. However, the car is only “state Legal” from what you’ve said. In other words, the owner went through “interesting” means to get his car titled in the USA, unless it was a Motorex car (ask if it was, I’m pretty sure it isn’t). So, because of this, the government CAN take it away for being an illegal Skyline. Usually, the risk of this is slim. Now, it probably still is, but I know some people with skylines who have gotten 60 day “Import or Crush” papers. if it were me at the moment, I wouldn’t risk it.
Q: Why no nissan skyline in singapore?
I’ve never seen a nissan skyline in singapore. There are lotsa other japanese muscle cars but no skyline.
The site given by tricky is uncertain. Accept the orange one the others are most definitely Malaysian Skylines. There a lots of them in Malaysia from all kinda tuners. Even have the V-Specs, NISMOs even the N1 versions. But none in Singapore.
A: I found these owners but not sure on the law on them in Singapore, although they have the parts on Singapore ebay also.

Q: are nissan skyline gtr’s made in a factory or are they made by customizing a skyline gt?
hey guys, im just wandering, are nissan skyline gtr’s made in a factory and then sold stock, or are they made by people customizing nissan skyline gt’s? thanks guys
A: All the GT-Rs were (are) made in a factory.
Think of them like a Z28/base Camaro, Trans Am/Firebird, Mustang GT/base Mustang.
They are just the higher end of the base model Skyline.
The new GT-Rs are hand assembled here in Japan, and are not called Skylines anymore.
Q: where can i find a nissan skyline in good conditions?
were can i find a nissan skyline near houston tx that’s in good conditions
A: Contact J.J. Salomon http://fast4wheels.com/jdm.php He should have just about any Skyline you want.
Q: Is buying a Nissan Skyline a good Idea?
Hey Im interested in buying a nissan skyline but I want to know a little about it, such as the maintenance costs if the insurance is really high and if its reliable.
Im also thinking of buying it used already imported and able to drive on the road.
A: Running a Skyline is quite easy regular oil changes with decent oil and renewing any parts you have a mix of stock parts which i know for a fact Nissan stock down to the R32 models and you also have the option of aftermarket parts in some cases.
I have owned Skylines for many years now and i can honestly say they have been the best cars i have owned in the sense of being practical as a daily car as i have 3 children also, being able to do my shopping and fitting an really good amount in the boot/trunk.Maintenance they have been the best cars i have ever owned as even parts which are needed to be changed IE brakes etc all seem to last forever even with regular and hard driving. So i can say that the models i have had even with there age have been really great cars, iam sure you could pick someones bad project but there are plenty of really good examples out there,so stick to ones with are stock or have well done mods, after all these cars take well to mods but as with any car only if done properly.
Another fun point is these cars never fail to attract a crowd and that’s not on occasions but almost everytime the car is out,ok that might sound big headed but it is true and why not share the pleasure of such a great car with other people.
Insurance is high but shopping around and speaking to insurance companies in person has reduced cost for me as well as adding a good alarm etc.Look in the back of import car magazines they often have specialist companies for these sort of cars.
Look at gts-t gts25t and gtt models all are tunable just like the GTR models and again with a mass of aftermarket parts, and the fastest skyline on record ont he drag strip is a gts25t,and with the gtr owning the awd drag record.
Also look at automatic versions they are rapid on the boxes and with an offer of extra controls over the box and how and when it changes, also many tuners are buying automatic versions for manual conversions due to them having less wear on the engines and extra on an older car.
Fuel cost varies per engine size but atm i run a rb25det which town driving i get around 14mpg this can up on some peoples but main roads at constant high speeds the cars offer higher mpg,and always no matter what anyone ever tells use use only high octane fuel ie premium the highest grade basically which is on offer in your country at the pumps.
Def get a Skyline i have owned many cars over 20+ years on the road and had a mix of cars from around the World and many sporty ones and yet the Skylines have been the best with being practical being able to use as a daily drivers car, great handling, power which runs out when your pocket does and reliable 100%.
Q: what is the biggest nitro engine for 1/10 Nissan skyline R34?
What is the biggest possible nitro engine i could fit in a 1/10 scale nissan skyline R34, what would be the dimension of the engine LxWxH
its an HPI, which engine(displacement) has most top speed
A: I’m not sure on the dimensions, but the largest capacity engine would be .18ci or 3.0cc. Anything larger (.21ci or 3.5cc is considered a big block engine) won’t fit without modifying the engine mounts and drilling extra holes in the chassis.
I think the Traxxas 3.3 engine might fit, that’s 3.3cc or .20ci. That’s still considered to be a small block engine, but I don’t think it would be a direct replacement for your standard engine.
Q: Where can I find OEM body parts for a Nissan R34 Skyline in the USA?
I’m needing several OEM body parts (hood, front fenders, reverse lights) from an R34 Nissan Skyline, and would love a phone number or business name of who can import the parts or preferably have them in stock, here in the USA.
A: ray mail me
Q: can anyone tell me what i would need to change on a nissan skyline to make it street legal in america?
I want to buy a nissan skyline from Japan. I need to know what i need to change to make it street legal to drive in America. Does anyone know what it takes? Thanks
A: when you buy a skyline you must go thru a dealer. the dealer must meet all US Dept of trans regulations and a 90 day hold in customs. so really you dont have to do anything the dealer must do all that before you get it, but they will add this cost to your purchase price.
