Q: How long does a BMW M3 run for?
How long does a BMW M3 run for?I mean referring to miles and kilometers?and how many liters and cc?

A: Why is the sky blue?
That is a very big questions, if you are talking about how long it runs with a full tank of fuel? well, it can carry about 55 liters and it does 20mpg, so you can now work it out.

The engine capacity is 3246cc and pushes out 338bhp with 365Nm of torque.
In terms of the M3’s life span, well, that depends on how its been looked after and how often its been serviced. BMW recommend it gets serviced evey 7000 miles??!?!?!?! so if you can find one with full service history……….GRAB the keys and force the cash into his hands!!

Q: How Much Would It Cost To Make E36 BMW M3 From An Automatic Tranny To A Manual Tranny?
I’m looking to swap my ‘95 BMW M3 automatic transmission into a manual transmission and I’m wondering how much it would cost me to have that done.

A: You will spend less, not only in money, but also in Time and future headaches/repairs if you just buy a Manual E36 M3.

Honestly, you can probably buy a used E46 M3 for about the same money and increase your HP about 90hp and have a car that’s 10 times that of the e36 right out of the box!

Q: What kind of HID Kit do i need for my 97 BMW M3?
im planning to buy one, i just dont know what kind of HIDs fits my 97 bmw m3.

A: For your car the bulbs you need. The low beams are a 9006 and your high beams are a 9005. They are very similar connections though. If you want to get a fog light conversion you will need h1’s for your car. There are lots of different temperatures ranging from 3000k- 30,000 kelvin. go to these guys where I bought my kit http://www.carhidkits.com/bmw-68/ … they seem to have everything

Q: how much does a 1994 bmw m3 cost from a scrap yard without an engine?
I’m wondering becausei want to get the BMW and put a ls1 engine in it. So how much does a 1994 bmw m3 cost from a scrap yard without an engine? Thanks

A: the cost of metal times the weight of the car traditionally. so about 140 x weight of car=price
although it may not be that way at all scrap yards, just my local one.

Q: How much miles per gallon does a BMW M3 get?
How much miles per gallon does a 2002-2006 BMW M3 get.

A: 16/24 manual
16/23 automatic

Q: What kind of Income do you need to make to afford a BMW M3?
Just wondering, what kind of income/salary do you need to buy a BMW M3

A: M3 would be a $60,000 – $70,000 car.(after options and tax)
Usually, to be safe you shouldn’t be spending half of your annual income on a car. But if you want to stretch and be stingy in other areas, you can purchase one for 2/3 of your income.
Leasing it would be better, if you can get tax cuts and want to change it in few years.

In general, I would say minimum $100,000. If you make $150,000, you can comfortably purchase it.

Q: How can I tell what kind of corner lights I need for my 2003 BMW M3?
I have a 2003 BMW m3 and want to replace the headlight corners with black ones…do I need screw on type or snap on?

A: is you car a facelift ?

Q: Should i drive my bmw m3 in the winter time?
I have a 2002 bmw m3. should i drive it in the winter time? i am going to put 4 blizzak snow tires.

A: Even if you put snow tires on it, it still sits very close to the ground. That front air dam makes a wonderful snow plow, making the tire’s job even more difficult trying to push snow. Although the Blizzaks are wonderful tires, on this car because of the size of the brakes, they are still mounted on a large wheel, which requires them to be low profile. Fat, low profile tires are not good in the snow.
In the end, it would be better than with summer tires, but not great. Keep the M3 at home when it snows, and with tires that belong on it, high performance ones. Drive something else. The price of those tires could buy you a cheap beater for the winter.

Q: Can a BMW M3 be considered a practical car?
I have always loved the 2002-2006 BMW (e46) M3s and have found one that I can afford for around $25K. However, I do a lot of long distance driving. Plus, I prefer to do my own repairs. Then, I am hauling bicycles and camping gear. Finally, I go skiing a fair amount. Is the M3 the wrong choice as an primary vehicle for these reasons.

A: LISTEN TO WHAT I SAY: I have a 2003 M3 and 2004 325i so I can offer you real advice not just hearsay.

The m3 may or may not be practical depending on various factors. If you live in a place were snow is problem then the m3 can be tricky for you. You’ll need another car to get around in because it’s terrible in snow no matter what tires you have or how good of a driver you are. So to cope with snow you need an alternative to the m3 whether that’s a 2nd car, a ride from someone, or bus/train. Since it’s a “sports car” the suspension is extremely sensitive so if you drive over a smashed soda can you’ll feel it lol. I live in NYC and the roads are shit, so pot hole dogging is a full time a job. If you drive on crappy roads, you will wreck the m3. You’ll need constant alignments, new tires, and suspensions work. Besides, you don’t want to risk cracking 19inch ($1000+ a set) rims. Even the standard 18inch are big too. I’s a very sensitive car in general so if you drive it daily then maintenance and repair will really hit you. Last month i dropped $1,800 on engine “maintenance” despite my careful driving. So be prepared to spend if you drive it daily. It’s also not good on gas. I get like 20mpg highway and the new V8 engine for the late models speak for themselves. Trunk space is microscopic at best but, it’s very roomy inside despite being a 2 door. It’s also low to the ground so you must use caution near bumps, curbs, ramps, driveways, etcc. So it can be a practical car without a doubt. Though if you live in a place where snow is a problem you need a plan for getting around. Also, if you have the $$ for maintinence. Otherwise, the m3 is a solid choice.

Though the 325 (4 door) is much more practical car but, it’s not a sports car. If you drive kids around don’t buy a coupe. Though i would recommend the 335 coupe or 328 coupe for that matter if you want a sports car. The 335 is more pratical and easier to deal with then an m3 which i can compare it high maintenance woman lol. If your skiing you need more of 4 door. I would recomend to you the 325i or the mercedes c300. You could also consider the four door 335 too. I think the audi a4 would be your best bet. It’s roomy, has a big trunk, has 4 wheel drive, and it’s fast. You could also get the 4 cylinder which is cheap for gas. That is my recommendation for your needs but, the m3 is a sports car like no other.

Q: Does the BMW M3 Sports package have more horsepower?
Does the e36 BMW M3 sports package (dinan kit) have more horsepower than a regular e36 M3? The one I found says sport package and then goes on to say it has a dinan horsepower kit. I am unfamiliar with this and was wondering what the benefit is.

A: Dinan is a great high end performance company, and the have done work on some BMWs. Im not sure how much horsepower, if any, the sport package would have. I would think that the “sport package” would have a better suspension setup, more than added horsepower.

Q: Who owns a BMW M3, M5 or M6? How old are you and what kind of job do you do?
Hey. I just wanted some motivation. I want a BMW M3 for my first car, or even a BMW 3 series. what is your age? How great are they, and do they burn wholes through our wallets?

A: I’m 23 and I have a 95 M3. I started with a 2000 Mazda Protege then had a 2003 Acura RSX then a 95 325is. I still have the Mazda.

Do not start with the M. Please, do yourself and the car a favor and wait a little. Even if you have a starter car for only a year you will see great improvements in your driving.

I hate to see people getting hurt in cars they may not be ready for. The M3 is definitely one you can get in big trouble with. Depending on the model M3 you get you get varying degrees of snap over-steer that can be the end of you and the car if not controlled properly.

I also hate seeing a car that will go many, many, more miles getting damaged or destroyed by someone. These are performance tuned machines, you will have maintain them like one.

Also, if you go with an older M like mine, if you hit anything, or anything hits you, you car is totalled. No questions. It’s done. No insurance will pay to fix these cars because the value of the car is less than $10k. Repair costs tend to climb very quickly with body work.

Q: Will a 2005/6 BMW M3 motor bolt in to a 1999 BMW 318is chassis?
I am thinking of converting a BMW 318is into a M3.

A: This would be an expensive and hard changeover. It would require moving/welding the motor mounts and a whole computer and harness installation, and then it still probably will have problems.

Q: Where can i get my 2009 bmw m3 limiter taken off?
I have a 2009 BMW M3 coupe. Where can I take it to get the limiter taken off?
Is there anyway that BMW could do it?
and will the dyno shop mess it up?

A: Dyno shop. Nice ride. E92 M3 owns AUDI.

Q: should i drive my bmw m3 in the winter time?
I have a 2002 bmw m3. should i drive it in the winter time? i am going to put 4 blizzak snow tires or should i just buy a car for the winter?

A: Buy yourself a nice beater truck or and older Subaru 4 wheel drive and keep that M3 in the garage for the winters

Q: Whats the best performance chip for my bmw m3 2004?
Hi,

I would like to know whats the best performance chip that i can buy for my bmw m3 2004, with in $500 to $1000 range. I want to increase my HP so if you suggest one, please note how many HP does it provide if you know.

A: Dinan. I would never, ever, consider anything less than the best for my car, a 2000 M5. People will tell you crazy things (Motec???), because they heard through the grapevine that they work magic. The truth is, the best tuning company for BMWs are either Dinan, the Shark Injector, or Jim Conforti. Those are three brands that actually give a realistic gain in power, and have the dyno sheets, and support, to back their claims. I used the Shark Injector on my M5 ($300), and I gained 7 hp and 8 ft lbs of torque to the wheels, plus it lets you customize your car a little bit (sport button, dsc…) I found it on Bavauto.com which is the best site to find stuff for your BMW, I recommend it to everyone looking to customize their BMW. If I hadn’t bought the Shark, I would have definately got the Dinan Chip. Dinan is one of the most widely renowed aftermarket companies in the world, and their products will NEVER void a BMW warranty, even the superchargers, that says a lot about their relationship with BMW. Check out those chips, and look at Bavauto.com for ideas as to what else you can add! (I’d recommend the underdrive pulleys, I got 11 RWHP!!!)
